|Footman Loops. Used where a breeching strap on a horse attaches to the cart. |
Now, here's the story... I wanted to hold some straps in position on a bondage board, and figured there must be something that would work. Sure, tie downs are great for rope, but for straps I needed a guide. After much searching I found footman loops, but it would have cost me almost $100 to outfit my board buying them from a horse tack supply house, and that was way too much. I went to my suppliers and found these. They work great! Screw them down, place the strap through it, over your bottom, and through one on the other side. Real good heavy hold.
They look great, hold great (use some good heavy duty screws), and don't have any pointy parts to get caught on getting on and off the board. One inch holds a one inch strap, 1 1/2, a 1 1/2 strap.
These are available in a nickel plated finish, or pure stainless steel, in the table below I have had great luck with the nickel, but for outside, or if you want only the best, then the stainless is the way to go.
